Glen Ridge Public Schools Deploys MXsense for Email Archiving
Marlboro, NJ (June 16, 2009) – MXsense Solutions, Inc. today announced that Glen Ridge Public Schools, a New Jersey K-12 public school system has selected and deployed MXsense’s Web-based email archiving solution to manage and archive school-wide emails, meet regulatory requirements and provide the ability to easily search through email messages. As a measure of success, the school system is already storing 80GB spanning 1.23 million messages.
Regulations such as the Department of Education’s Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (34 CFR Part 99) are driving the need for school districts such as Glen Ridge to effectively archive their email communications.
Glen Ridge Public Schools is comprised of four schools: an early childhood school serving pre-kindergarten through second, two elementary schools and a high school. The public school district serves students in Kindergarten through twelfth grade.
As a hosted, software as a service (SaaS) email archiving solution, MXsense provides a powerful search engine with built-in indexing and archiving features designed to manage the ever-growing volumes of information and intelligence stored in email communications and attachments.
According to Winnie Boswell, Director of Technology at Glen Ridge Public Schools, emails were previously archived with cumbersome backup tape which made it difficult to retrieve emails in a timely manner. “We were looking for a Web-based email archive tool to allow users to easily search, manage and gain access to critical emails,” she said. “MXsense was suggested to me as a reputable and cost-effective service that could meet our needs. We opted to evaluate the solution via the company’s ‘first 10’ free program and were very impressed. With the service now fully deployed and integrated with our Microsoft Exchange environment, users can manage and search through archived emails from a browser interface.”
“Organizations of all sizes are utilizing MXsense to quickly retrieve important email records such as business transactions, proactively manage e-discovery initiatives and ensure compliance,” noted William Cobb, Chief Technology Officer at MXsense Solutions, Inc. “Glen Ridge Public Schools is a forward-thinking K-12 system that is realizing success with MXsense to proactively manage and take control of its entire email infrastructure.”
MXsense’s “First 10” program includes a fully functional version of MXsense for an unlimited number of users and up to 10GB of storage for free. For more information, visit: http://www.MXsense.com/firstten.html.
